181 Bottles of Fensidil Seized Along with Indian Stone-laden Truck

On October 31, 2024, at approximately 12:30 AM, a truck loaded with Indian stones was intercepted at the Sonamasjid border based on intelligence information. The operation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Golam Kibria, commanding officer of the battalion, under the guidance of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). The operation was executed by a specialized patrol team led by Subedar Tushar Kanti Biswas of the Sonamasjid Border Outpost.

The team conducted a search operation approximately 300 yards inside the Bangladesh territory near the unloading point for imported stones in Shahabajpur Union of Shibganj Upazila, Chapainawabganj District, close to the Sonamasjid middle market. During the search, they discovered 181 bottles of Indian Fensidil concealed in a hidden compartment within the driver’s cabin of an Indian truck (WB65A1503), which was carrying 52 tons of stones.

Legal proceedings are underway, with a case filed at Shibganj Police Station against the seized narcotics, the truck, and the stones.

Lieutenant Colonel Golam Kibria of the Mohananda Battalion (59 BGB) has confirmed the authenticity of the operation and the seizure.
