Any conflict with Myanmar will be brought to the attention of the United Nations

General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that if there is anything related to the border problem with Myanmar, Bangladesh will bring the matter to the attention of the United Nations besides calling their ambassador.

Obaidul Quader said these things in a press briefing at the Awami League’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.

This Awami League leader said that the ongoing conflict in Myanmar is their internal matter. They have no dispute with Bangladesh. He said that efforts are being made to solve the Rohingya problem internationally. Not only Myanmar, we don’t want to go to war with anyone.

We are committed to solving any problem through negotiation. If there is any issue of Myanmar’s conflict with Bangladesh, then I will draw the attention of the United Nations. There are international forums. Since the United Nations is there, they will also have a role.

The minister also said, ‘What is happening on the border of Myanmar is their internal matter. Their internal conflicts are reaching the border. Their shells, mortar shells are falling on us here. Two of our citizens have been killed.

Obaidul Quader said in response to the journalists’ questions about the party’s nomination for the reserved women’s seat in the Jatiya Sangsad, “Awami League will nominate those who have sacrificed and tested”. Our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina started working on the next election right after the election. If you see someone who is worthy while visiting the district, write down his name. Use it in time.’

In the morning, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader inspected the sale and submission of nomination forms in the reserved women’s seats of the 12th National Assembly. The program started today at the central office of Awami League and will continue till next Thursday.
