Case Filed Against 8 Teachers for Using Fake Certificates

A case has been filed against eight individuals, including seven teachers from RD Secondary School in Chalitabari, Sharsa Upazila of Jessore, on Wednesday (October 30) for allegedly obtaining jobs using forged certificates. The lawsuit was initiated by Ruhul Kuddus, the former chairman of Kaiba Union Parishad and joint secretary of the Sharsa Upazila BNP.

The accused include Abdul Kayyum, the principal of RD Secondary School, and assistant teachers Abul Kalam Azad, Saleha Khatun (Agriculture), Moushumi Khatun, Hasanuzzaman, Saleha Khatun (Computer), Idris Ali (BPEd), along with Hasan Firuz Ahmed Tinku, president of the Kaiba Union Awami League. Senior Judicial Magistrate Rahmat Ali has ordered the CID police to investigate the allegations and submit a report.

In the complaint, Ruhul Kuddus stated that after winning the Kaiba Union Parishad elections on August 8, 2011, he visited the RD Secondary School on July 8, 2015. During his visit, he discovered that the necessary certificates submitted by the seven teachers during their hiring process were completely forged.

Following this revelation, he sent legal notices to the accused teachers through his lawyer on July 13. In an attempt to save their jobs, the accused teachers sought help from Hasan Firuz Ahmed Tinku, president of the Kaiba Union Awami League. Subsequently, on July 20, at around 11 PM, Tinku, along with over fifty armed men, stormed Ruhul Kuddus’s residence on College Road in Baghanchara. During the confrontation, they threatened Kuddus with a pistol, warning him not to pursue the issue regarding the teachers’ fake certificates. Due to this intimidation, Kuddus was unable to take any action against the accused teachers at that time.
