Qatar to Begin Recruiting Bangladeshi Soldiers Within Two Months

Doha (Qatar), April 22, 2025 – Speaking to BSS on the sidelines of the ongoing Ardana Summit in Doha today, he said, “The process of recruiting soldiers from Bangladesh will begin within the next two months.”

A high-level Bangladeshi delegation, led by the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is currently in Qatar to attend the Ardana Summit 2025.

Shafiqul Alam stated that Bangladeshi soldiers have been working in Kuwait for a long time. Similarly, Qatar is also interested in regularly recruiting Bangladeshi soldiers.

He further said, “Every three years, Qatar will recruit 725 soldiers, but we are working on increasing this number.”
